Quality Air Purifiers

One of the biggest problems with modern technology is that it sometimes works too well. By sealing the outside

out, they keep the inside in, which has been found to be actually a bad thing. The inside of a house is actually worse for you health than outside, as pollutants and dust follow people in, but don’t leave. Also, mold and pet dander help contribute to the problem as well.

In order to eliminate this problem, home-owners are turning to air purifiers in order to take the pollutants out of the air. One of the best purifiers is a filter. HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestors) air filters are severely effective, removing 99.97% of air-borne particulates from the air. The best HEPA filters also come with fifteen pounds of coconut carbon/Zeolite blends to remove odors (low quality HEPA filters are sprayed with carbon dust that quickly disappears). With respiratory health problems increasing in occurrence each year, steps need to be taken to clean up the air inside homes.

A HEPA filtration device can cycle the air in a given bedroom two to fifteen times an hour depending on the quality of the filter (higher quality devices have higher cycle rates). It is recommended that you change which room the device is in order to maximize the benefit of the filter, as it can’t filter rooms that it doesn’t have access to thanks to closed doors. By cycling it through the rooms of a house, the filter has the best chance of eliminating pollutants throughout the house.

As an added process and safeguard, some of the higher-grade HEPA filtration devices come with a medical-grade ultraviolet system that kills any biological particles that enter the device and cling to the filters. This has the added benefit of eliminating potential bacteria and virus colonies that could grow on the filter otherwise, turning the filter into a health risk.

HEPA filters are the generally the most effective air purifiers on the market, as they remove the highest percentage of pollutants from the air. In fact, other air purifiers have HEPA filters installed in order to clear more pollutants out of the air. However, their parts need to be replaced more often than other systems (even if it is every five years), and even the quietest filtration device is louder than other devices. Otherwise, HEPA filters are arguably the most effective air purifiers on the market.
